What types of caregivers does Nanny Finder provide ?

Nanny Finder can provide the following : 1. Live-in Nannies and caregivers for Elder or Handicapped care who work full time in the home under the "foreign live-in caregiver program". 2. Live-in or Live-out Nannies and caregivers for Elder or Handicapped care who are not under the foreign live-in caregiver program.

What is the cost for an employer ?

Our fee for employers is $395.00 for Nannies, and $495.00 for Elder or Handicapped caregivers.

What does the fee include ?

Our fee includes the following: 1. Detailed review of employer's caregiver requirements 2. Prepare statement of requirements, and work description. 3. Prepare text of advertisements , as required. 4. Assist in review and screening of candidates, as required. 5. Arranging for interviews and reference checks. 6. Preparation of contracts as required 7. Preparation of paperwork for HRSDC approval, if foreign caregiver needed. 8. Following placement to successful conclusion.

Is the placement fee refundable ?

If a representative is asked to provide an "in person" consultation prior to an agreement being signed, a minimum fee of $50. is charged. Consultations by phone are at no charge. If no suitable caregiver is selected by the employer, no additional fee is charged (except the $50 fee if a consultant has travelled to the residence of the employer for consultation) The placement fee itself is only non-refundable once a recruitment agreement has been signed by the employer.

Is there any guarantee ?

There is a guarantee for the term of the caregiver's contract as follows : If a live-in caregiver does not meet the expectations of the employer, and the employer decides to release them from employment, another caregiver will be recruited, at no additional charge except for any advertising costs, which must be paid by the employer.

What accomodations must be provided to a live-in caregiver ?

Employers must provide live-in caregivers with private, furnished accomodation in the employer's home.

Can room and board be deducted ?

This will depend on the provincial labour standards.

Is there any discount for referals or a renewed placement ?

Yes, we will discount for referals resulting in placement of a caregiver. We also provide a discount for a renewed placement to the same family.
